Description

Performs routine food preparation duties by assisting in all stages of preparing, cooking, portioning, packaging and freezing menu items in accordance with department policies and procedures. Determines quantities, measures/weighs food items as required. Maintains high standard of sanitation in the preparation and handling of food. Assists in the receiving and storage of department supplies. Performs other related duties as assigned/required.

Qualifications

A High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in the English language and to follow written and oral directions. Must pass CapitalCare literacy test. Where delivery of food and supplies to external locations is applicable, a valid Driver¿s license, a Driver¿s Abstract with no demerit points and successful completion of Defensive Driving course is required. Ability to meet CapitalCare¿s insurance coverage requirements is required.
