Responsibilities
- Program planning, greeting and supervision of participants
- Instruction of skill development, and preparation and clean up of assigned spaces.
Qualifications
- Applicants must be a minimum of 16 years of age
- National Coaching Certification in figure skating, hockey or as a skating instructor is an asset
- Two years of related experience in planning and delivering recreation skating programs is an asset.
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C with AED certifications are required.
- Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
Hours of Work
Mondays from 9:00 AM -11:15 AM. (Indoors at Kinex Arena)
Compensation
- The wage ranges from $22.08 - $26.88 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
- Candidates not meeting the full qualifications may be considered for a development opportunity at a lower classification and salary.

Term
This position has an end date of December 31, 2026, with a possibility of an extension.
Conditions of Employment
- The successful candidate will be required to provide proof of educational and professional credentials.
- The successful applicant will be required to obtain a satisfactory police information check.
- The successful applicant will be required to obtain a clear vulnerable sector police information check.
