Your Opportunity at SECURE

As an experienced Torch Cutter, you'll put your skills to work in a dynamic metals recycling environment, safely processing and preparing a wide variety of ferrous and non-ferrous materials for shipment and further processing. Your expertise in torch cutting, material identification, and safe work practices will play a key role in maximizing material value and maintaining efficient yard operations.

Work Environment

This is a full time position and is located in Edmonton AB.


A Day in The Life

  •  Follow all SECURE and site-specific safety policies, procedures, and requirements.
  • Actively participate in daily safety meetings, tailgate discussions, and hazard assessments.
  • Safely cut and process metal materials in a fast-paced recycling environment.
  • Apply metals industry knowledge and torch cutting experience to maximize material value.
  • Operate equipment such as skid steers and water filtration pumps.
  • Utilize power tools and small equipment safely and effectively.
  • Complete pre-operational inspections and report equipment deficiencies promptly.
  • Maintain equipment, work areas, and site housekeeping standards to support safe and efficient operations.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous torch cutting experience is preferred; oil and gas industry experience is an asset.
  • Follow all SECURE health, safety, and environmental policies, including hazard assessments and safe work practices.
  • Complete safety documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform physically demanding work, including lifting and moving heavy materials.
  • Work safely and effectively in challenging weather and site conditions.
  • Maintain fitness for duty and readiness to work each day.
  • Contribute to safe, efficient site operations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
