Research & Planning Officer - Data Manager
Your Opportunity:
The Research & Planning Officer - Data Manager brings advanced analytical and data management expertise to the Business Intelligence, Data and Analytics team in Assisted Living Alberta (ALA). The position works with a high degree of independence to lead various business intelligence and analytics initiatives. The incumbent will support organizational and operational reporting related to program planning resources as well as client care across the ALA service areas. The position is also relied upon to develop and manage various initiatives and/or programs and to develop strategies for the coordination and delivery of clinical informatics, evaluation and data management projects, tools, and resources. The position works to ensure ALA's values, goals and principles are implemented and integrated in the delivery of quality services to our client groups.
Description:
As a Research and Planning Officer, you will provide data and information in response to complex queries from clients across all levels (e.g., interdisciplinary project teams, operational management teams and other AHS analysts). You will consult and conduct with clients to fully understand and define the service/query/information requested, determining the appropriate methodology, data types and sources to use. You will complete the research and statistical analysis to provide interpretations and recommendations and present the findings/information in the format requested.

Master's degree in a related field (e.g. community health sciences, health economics, biomedical statistics, epidemiology, quality assurance).
